You're preparing for a big conference, seminar or meeting but you aren't entirely sure how to deliver the information. The last thing you want is for people to be bored, falling asleep in their coffee & pastry's you so thoughtfully prepared.
Even if attendees understand the content you are delivering, who's to say they'll be able to retain the new information? Yes they can write it down, document it on their mobile device or laptop, but in today's "watch & skim" world we need something different to grab & hold attention.
Did you know:
That's where Graphic Recording comes in. Drawing what people are talking about makes the information easy to digest, offers an element of fun & excitement, and allows attendees to get involved by contributing ideas to the overall drawing. Also, attaching a hashtag to your event and having attendees live tweet the art as it progresses, creates a buzz online getting you noticed by potentially hundreds or thousands more outside of your event!
When the GR art is complete, organizers are left with a beautiful piece of art to be displayed at the office, used in future social media promotion, or even printed in annual reports.

I came across this video this morning of the Telus #KeepItInYourPants campaign I had a small part in. I went to 5 different locations in downtown Toronto in July of 2013, creating chalk art for Telus' live interactive displays. If you don't blink, you'll see me at the very beginning.
My Graphic Facilitation services are already being booked into 2015! My first client of the new year is the Peterborough Economic Development Centre. They are hosting "Start & Grow Fair" for new and established entrepreneurs. I'm creating art for printed material and will be drawing live at the event in January!
Here's a sneak peek!
How often does an artist get to say they're being paid to draw on walls for 2hrs! Well, lucky me, I was asked to do just that for the CFGP (Community Foundation of Greater Peterborough). They are hosting the this month's PBX event at The Art Gallery of Peterborough to kick off Philanthropy month, where they will explore the connection between arts & culture.
So honoured to be involved & be able to make my mark..literally!
