Creating snow globes & ornaments

As winter wrapped its frosty arms around us, our Winter Workshop for 2023 brought warmth and creativity to 14 bright-eyed kids, turning the season into a canvas of imagination. The air was filled with the joyous sounds of Christmas music, and our talented instructors, adorned with elf hats, added a touch of festive enchantment to the day.

Pouring the liquid is one of the final steps of this craft, as you can see on the left they have already created their base for the glitter to float around.

The heart of the workshop lay in the hands-on crafting experience, where children were encouraged to let their imaginations run wild. Armed with tiny figurines and a collection of crafting materials, each child embarked on a journey to create their very own winter wonderland encapsulated within a snow globe. The room buzzed with excitement as kids carefully selected figurines, glitter, and other embellishments to personalize their snowy scenes.

Laughter echoed through the workshop as children embraced the festive spirit, sharing stories and ideas with newfound friends. The holiday tunes, playing softly in the background, served as the soundtrack to this heartwarming event. The joy of the season enveloped everyone, turning the workshop into a space where the magic of Christmas came to life through art and camaraderie.

Our dedicated instructors, wearing charming elf hats, added a touch of whimsy to the day. Their infectious energy and enthusiasm fueled the creative spirit in the room, ensuring every child felt inspired and supported in their artistic endeavours. The elf hats became symbols of the magical journey we were all on, sparking smiles and setting the tone for a day filled with holiday cheer.

Once they had finished their snow globes the group of little artists adorned custom ornaments with colours, sparkles, and holiday magic. The atmosphere was electric with creativity as children explored different themes, from traditional Christmas symbols to imaginative winter landscapes.

Last Friday, the Jason Wilkins Factory & George Gallery hosted an unforgettable solo art show by the enigmatic Tomis Mudanzas. The event was a journey into the depths of the artist's mind, showcasing a collection of dark, explicit, and lonely pieces that left the audience captivated.

The first Friday at the gallery witnessed an incredible turnout, with art enthusiasts and curious minds alike flocking to witness Mudanzas' unique vision come to life. The artist's ability to connect with the audience on such an intimate level was evident, as many of his pieces found new homes by the end of the evening. The gallery buzzed with excitement as patrons immersed themselves in the shadows and explored the complexities of Mudanzas' art. The successful sales spoke volumes about the impact his work had on those who experienced it firsthand.
